2022.08.18_August Change Summit (In-Person) - Leveraging Behavior Management to Accelerate and Sustain Behavior Change

Thursday, August 18, 2022 (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Decades of research show that the majority of improvement initiatives fail to meet performance expectations. Underlying factors include a lack of leadership involvement, ineffective engagement, and not prioritizing the desired behavior changes.

Organizations speak about behavior in too generalized a manner.  They use behavioral clichés and generalized behavioral statements but don’t define specific, pinpointed leader and performer desired behaviors.

Behavior Management complements Change Management’s focus on people’s thoughts, feelings, and attitudes. Using the two disciplines together improves user change acceptance.

accomplir® has pioneered next-generation improvement toolsets by embedding Behavioral Management concepts into Lean Sigma, Business Process Management, and technology deployment methodologies.  Refining these toolsets in numerous change initiatives for the last fifteen years has enabled us to:

  • identify, specify, and prioritize desired behaviors for both performers and leaders
  • increase Leaders’ active involvement and accountability for sustaining behavior-change dimension results and ROI.

This session takes a practitioner’s viewpoint focusing on behavioral science concepts and selected tools applicable to both your personal leadership behaviors as well as your change initiative project roles and responsibilities.

 Key Takeaways:

  • Learn the essentials of Behavioral Management and the importance of pinpointing behavior and providing positive consequences and feedback to accelerate and sustain behavior change.

  • Gain an understanding of how to more effectively engage leaders and key stakeholders throughout all project phases.

  • Learn a pre-deployment framework that integrates Behavioral Management, Change Management, and coaching to maximize behavior change success and sustainability.
